LMEQ is without doubt one of the best new training facilities in the Southeast
with everything that could be required when training event horses. The 2 all-weather arenas are huge, the 20x60 dressage arena is floodlit and has training mirrors across the whole of one end, the 50x60 showjumping arena has a full set of showjumps including the scarey things like watertrays. Both have super surfaces which are beautifully maintained as are the 1 mile long gallops which work up a long slight slope - perfect for fittening work. The cross country schooling area is fantastic and one to which I regularly make the 3 hour round trip to use. There is something for all levels, both horses and riders, with over 80 fences all of which are really well made and inviting and can be as straightforward or as technical as you like with various combination fences and a great water complex with various options in/out. I especially like the fact that there are some real technical questions but without having to jump too big, perfect for teaching novices or reminding the older ones. Matt and his Team are also super helpful, when I asked if he had a bounce into the water he said ‘No, but we can make one’! They also take great care of the ground, regularly moving many of the fences which not only keeps the takeoff/landing zones in good condition but also means there is something slightly different every time.
